Sympathetically restored, the Inn maintains the charm and character of the Victorian age yet with wireless Internet and cable, offers the convenience of today. Each of the 10 bedrooms and 2 apartments are individually decorated in subtle Victorian themes and there is a range of accommodation to suit the varying needs of our guests.
ROOM 1 • THE BRONTE ROOM
Named after Emily Bronte, the romantic Victorian novelist, the room is situated at the front of the Inn, on the second floor. This elegant space is decorated in subtle shades of pink. The original oak floors and two windows in this corner room accentuate the light feeling of the room. A queen bed, writing desk and en-suite shower complete this delightful retreat.
ROOM 1A • THE 'NEW' GARDEN SUITE
Detached from the Main Inn, this newly constructed Garden Suite is situated overlooking the expansive back gardens. It features a luxurious King-sized bed, Flat screen TV, kitchenette and four piece en-suite with a modern decor. Ground level access with suite-side parking.
ROOM 2 • THE KIRK ROOM
Named after the original owner of the property, the Kirk Room offers elegant, tastefully decorated, practical accommodation with a queen bed and a side room with a twin bed. This second floor corner room is situated at the rear of the property in a quiet location overlooking the gardens. A 4-piece en-suite bathroom completes the stately room.
ROOM 3 • THE MARTHA ROOM
For a period, the Inn was used as a part of St. Martha's Hospital, hence the Martha Room. On the second floor, at the rear of the Inn is this bright room, decorated in subtle shades of primrose. With views over the gardens in a quiet location, the room is an ideal quiet retreat after a busy day. The room offers a queen bed and en-suite 4-piece bathroom.
ROOM 4 • THE QUEEN ANNE ROOM
Bright and airy describes this delightful room situated on the second floor at the front of the Inn. Decorated in subtle blue shades, it has large bay windows, fireplace and comfortable sitting area. An en-suite bathroom with shower completes the popular room.
ROOM 5 • THE TURRET SUITE
On the second floor at the front of the building, this magnificent room is the largest at the Inn. It features an extensive window in the turret that forms one corner of the bedroom. With a large carved 4-poster bed, separate sitting area with comfortable pull-out couch, hardwood floors and a 4-piece en-suite bathroom, the suite is popular with all our guests, but particularly for honeymoons and anniversaries.
ROOM 6 • THE ERIE
Named after the eagles nests that can be seen at the nearby "landing", this third floor room offers quiet, comfortable accommodation with 2 twin beds. The room is tastefully decorated with a full 4-piece en-suite bathroom and features delightful views through the 'hipped dormer' window - which characterizes the William Critchlow design.
ROOM 7 • THE DORMER
Beautifully decorated in subtle tan shades this third floor room is a favourite amongst our guests. Tucked into a quiet corner of the Inn, the accommodation is spacious with plenty of light coming from the dormer window that offers a towering view over Main Street. The room has its own 4-piece bathroom just across a quiet corridor -- naturally, luxurious bathrobes are provided for the few steps required to reach it.
ROOM 8 • ST NINIAN ROOM
Named after the Cathedral in the town, this room offers a peaceful sanctuary on the third floor on the Inn. Decorated in rich colours with a queen bed and hardwood floors, this elegant room has its own 3-piece bathroom with shower just a few steps across a private corridor. As with the Dormer Room, luxurious bathrobes are provided.
ROOM 9 • THE XAVIER
The name of this apartment recognizes the importance of the university to the town. The apartment offers three main rooms, a separate queen-sized bedroom, 4-piece bathroom and a living area with pull-out couch with a nook for a full kitchen. The accommodation is on the ground floor with its own entrance. Surrounded by flowering shrubs the apartment has hardwood floors throughout and offers extremely comfortable and practical accommodation for families or couples traveling together.
ROOM 10 • THE GARDEN APARTMENT
The Garden Apartment is on the ground floor overlooking the magnificient grounds. It offers a separate double bedroom with queen bed, full kitchen with fridge & microwave, sitting area and a 4-piece bathroom. The apartment has a quiet location, with its own private entrance. Sit on the apartment's deck and enjoy the tranquility of the extensive gardens.
ROOM 11 • THE MACISAAC ROOM
This large room, situated on the ground floor, features the original magnificent oak floors and paneling. A fireplace and bay window with seating area epitomize the style of the Victorian Era and emphasizes the space within the room. A comfortable queen size bed with bathroom and shower en-suite complete on of the most popular rooms.
ROOM 12 • THE LIBRARY
As the name suggests, this was believed to be the original library. The walls are resplendent with richly coloured original oak paneling and the floors with original hardwood. A Victorian tiled fireplace, bay window and bookcases complete thebackdrop for the queen bed and en-suite bathroom with shower. Situated on the first floor with private entrance, this large room offers elegance with a true feeling of the history of the Inn.
